SNA_PRE SNAPRE_E01013 DIGITAL SNA Printer Emulator OpenVMS ECO Summary

NOTE: An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file. The name of the compressed file will be kit_name-dcx_vaxexe for OpenVMS VAX or kit_name-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha. Once the file is copied to your system, it can be expanded by typing RUN compressed_file. The resultant file will be the OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file which can be used to install the ECO. Copyright (c) Digital Equipment Corporation, 1997. All rights reserved. PRODUCT: DIGITAL SNA Printer Emulator for OpenVMS OP/SYS: OpenVMS VAX OpenVMS Alpha SOURCE: Digital Equipment Corporation ECO INFORMATION: ECO Kit Name: SNAPRE_E01013 ECO Kits Superseded by This Kit: None ECO Kit Approximate Size: 2160 Blocks Kit Applies To: DIGITAL SNA Printer Emulator for OpenVMS V1.3 OpenVMS VAX V6.1, V6.2, V7.0 OpenVMS Alpha V6.1, V6.2, V7.0 System Reboot Necessary: No ECO KIT SUMMARY: An ECO kit exists for DIGITAL SNA Printer Emulator for OpenVMS V1.3 on OpenVMS VAX V6.1 through V7.0 and OpenVMS Alpha V6.1 through V7.0. Problems addressed in the SNAPRE_E01013 kit: This ECO has been built with updated (V2.4 ECO-02) SNAAI (newAI) protocol support and includes the following corrections: o GAICLOSE would not deallocate channels on abnormal disconnects. This has now been corrected and the sna_rcvcallback routine now will deallocate the channels. o Pacing indicator was never being set on first request RH in pacing window when sending data to host. This has now been corrected in the SNA_PACRQSEND routine. o Pacing was not working properly when a pacing value was specified. This has been corrected in the sna_tcdequeueqpac by checking if pacingcount is greater than zero. Previously pacingwindow was being checked in error. INSTALLATION NOTES: After the installation is completed the product should be restarted per the User's Guide installation instructions, to make the new software active.
