ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for Open3D V2.4 on OpenVMS AXP V6.1.  This kit
addresses the following problems: 

  o  The window system fails to startup on systems with the ZLX-M
     option, DEC Open3D for OpenVMS AXP V2.4, and DECwindows Motif[R]
     for OpenVMS AXP V1.1.  However, with Motif V1.2, the ZLX-M option
     functions as expected.  This ECO allows the ZLX-M option to
     function as expected with Motif V1.1. 

NOTE:  This fix is included in Open3D V2.4A (a mandatory update (MUP) 
       to be included in the next CD-ROM Software Library for OpenVMS
       AXP Layered Products) and it is highly recommended that the
       upgrade to V2.4A be done as soon as possible. 


INSTALLATION NOTES:

The system/cluster does not need to be rebooted after this kit is 
installed.  However, the Open3D should be shutdown and restarted 
in order for all kit changes to take effect.
