An ECO kit exists for VAX Message Router/P Gateway V1.3.
This kit addresses the following problems:
Functional Changes to MRP
This section lists all the information included and problems fixed
in ECO1 for MRP V1.3. The MRP Release Notes provide a complete
explanation of each problem fixed.
o Prerequisite Version of OpenVMS[TM] for ECO1 for MRP V1.3 is
Version 5.5-2.
o Prerequisite Version of Message Router[TM] for ECO1 for MRP
V1.3 is either Version 3.3 or 3.3A.
o Information about how to connect to the DEC[TM] SNA Domain
Gateway or DEC SNA Peer Server.
o New logical definition to change the names of the MRP subpro-
cesses and new log file message indicating when an MRP subpro-
cess is created.
o More information about how MRP handles failure to send binary
files.
o MRP now correctly transfers binary files.
o MRP now correctly transfers status distributions.
o MRP now handles notes sent from IBM[R] OV/VM in ZIP packet
format.
o MRP now transfers CMS Punch Files.
o MRP now transfers PRINT Files sent from IBM OV/VM.
o MRP no longer rejects IBM OV/VM messages containing data that
its lower layers do not recognize.
o Subject: field of cover note changed.
o MRP no longer discards WPS-PLUS[TM] bodyparts that begin with
two or more blank lines.
o MRP now converts DCF draft documents with long headings.
o Queue file should no longer grow rapidly in size.
o Virtual memory error no longer causes MRP to reject IBM distri-
bution.
o MRP no longer rejects messages when the conversion subprocess
fails.
o New log file message indicating receipt of error Nodal Message
Records.
o New error message displayed when the retry count is exceeded.
o Ownership of some files changed.
