OSMS 3.3 LSTARV1033 Optical Storage Management VAX ECO Summary
NOTE: An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored
on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file.
The name of the compressed file will be kit_name-dcx_vaxexe
for OpenVMS VAX or kit_name-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha.
Once the file is copied to your system, it can be expanded
by typing RUN compressed_file. The resultant file will
be the OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file which
can be used to install the ECO.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for DEC OSMS on OpenVMS VAX V6.1 through V6.2. This
kit addresses the following problems:
Problems addressed in the LSTARV1033 Kit:
o Enhancements were made to allow OSMS to install properly for the
RW531/RW532 jukebox family.
NOTE: Do NOT install this kit for any other purpose. This kit
is for RW531 or RW532 connectivity ONLY. Installation
on any other platform will NOT be supported.
If you are on a platform other than RW531 or RW532, please
refer to the DEC OSMS ECO OSMSVTPE01033.
All problems addressed in the ECO OSMSVTPE01033 are also
addressed in this ECO. However, LSTARV1033 should ONLY be
installed on systems with the RW531/RW532 platform.
OSMSVTPE01033 should be installed on all other systems.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
In order for the corrections in this kit to take effect, the system
must be rebooted.
