ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for DECnet for OpenVMS Alpha V6.2 on OpenVMS Alpha
V6.1 through V6.2-1H3. This kit addresses the following problems:
o The CPU affinity for NETACP was modified to prevent a potential
system crash or race conditions leading to a deaccess hang in
an SMP or EV5 environment.
o This kit will also modify the DECnet $PROBE to prevent an access
violation on zero length $QIO reads or writes. This zero length
$QIO for example could be used when terminating a series of
IO$M_MULTIPLE reads or writes.
o Prevent corruption within local data transfer optimization code.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
The system must be rebooted for the new NETDRIVER image to be loaded.
