NOTE: An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored
on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file.
For OpenVMS savesets, the name of the compressed saveset
file will be kit_name.a-dcx_vaxexe for OpenVMS VAX or
kit_name.a-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha. Once the OpenVMS
saveset is copied to your system, expand the compressed
saveset by typing RUN kitname.dcx_vaxexe or kitname.dcx_alpexe.
For PCSI files, once the PCSI file is copied to your system,
rename the PCSI file to kitname-dcx_axpexe.pcsi, then it can
be expanded by typing RUN kitname-dcx_axpexe.pcsi. The resultant
file will be the PCSI installation file which can be used to install
the ECO.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for Reliable Transaction Router V4.0 on OpenVMS
VAX V6.2 through V7.2. This kit addresses the following
problems:
o Corrections made to the SET TRANSACTION command to
modify a transaction state from Commit to Exception
and from Exception to Commit.
o A transaction invocation type has been added to the
SHOW TRANSACTION/BACKEND/FULL command. The type is
WaitOnExcept, which means "Transaction is pending manual
intervention."
o 14-3-400 Client program remaining in memory on program
exit
RTR would previously hang when being rundown within the
context of a COM object. No special code modifications
to the RTR application are necessary.
o 14-3-402 Problem with RTR not responding to an Accept
Message
Under certian rare instances a partition would not
complete shadow recovery.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
The Reliable Transaction Router Version 4.0 ECO1 installation
procedure is the same as the installation procedure for RTR Version
4.0. Refer to the Installation Guide for further information.
