NOTE:  An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored
       on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file.
 
       For OpenVMS savesets, the name of the compressed saveset
       file will be kit_name.a-dcx_vaxexe for OpenVMS VAX or
       kit_name.a-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha. Once the OpenVMS
       saveset is copied to your system, expand the compressed
       saveset by typing RUN kitname.dcx_vaxexe or kitname.dcx_alpexe.
 
       For PCSI files, once the PCSI file is copied to your system,
       rename the PCSI file to kitname-dcx_axpexe.pcsi, then it can
       be expanded by typing RUN kitname-dcx_axpexe.pcsi.  The resultant
       file will be the PCSI installation file which can be used to install
       the ECO.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for SHUTDOWN on OpenVMS Alpha V7.1-2.  This kit 
addresses the following problems: 

Problems Addressed in VMS712_MANAGE-V0200:

  o  The VMS712_MANAGE-V0100 displayed the following error message:

       DEC AXPVMS VMS712_MANAGE V1.0: OpenVMS V7.1-2 MANAGE V1.0
       %DCL-W-IVVERB, unrecognized command verb - check validity
       and spelling   \84$\

       This error had no negative affect on the installation of 
       the VMS712_MANAGE-V0100 kit.

       This kit corrects an installation error only.  It provides 
       no new bug fixes or functionality.  If you have installed the
       VMS712_MANAGE-V0100 kit, you do NOT need to install the
       VMS712_MANAGE-V0200 kit.


Problems Addressed in VMS712_MANAGE-V0100:

  o  Shadow merge operations can occur at reboot if a node which
     shares cluster system files on shadowed disks is shut down.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

The system/cluster does not need to be rebooted after this kit is 
installed.
