NOTE: An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored
on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file.
For OpenVMS savesets, the name of the compressed saveset
file will be kit_name.a-dcx_vaxexe for OpenVMS VAX or
kit_name.a-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha. Once the OpenVMS
saveset is copied to your system, expand the compressed
saveset by typing RUN kitname.dcx_vaxexe or kitname.dcx_alpexe.
For PCSI files, once the PCSI file is copied to your system,
rename the PCSI file to kitname-dcx_axpexe.pcsi, then it can
be expanded by typing RUN kitname-dcx_axpexe.pcsi. The resultant
file will be the PCSI installation file which can be used to install
the ECO.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for CMS V4.1 and DECset V12.4 on OpenVMS Alpha V6.2
through V7.2-1. This kit addresses the following problems:
o Require Ref Copy to be on ODS-5 disk only if the extended_filenames
attribute is set on library.
o Correct CMS_PEAK_UTILIZATION.
o Expand on description of /ID qualifier in CMS$DW_HELP.HLP.
o Correct error in sequence number generation.
o Correction applied when /SENTINEL caused differences to be
reported for identical files.
o Correct the error that caused Alpha ACCVIO and VAX
STR-F-ILLSTRCLA when at least the merged generations had been
changed more than once since the common ancestor.
o Remove the restriction on directory tree depth.
o Correction applied when a directory TOOLONG message fao_param is
displayed.
o In cms$$ele_get_subdir_name(), increase the FAO buffer size from
256 to 512.
o Remove unused Literal k_max_dir_size.
o Correction for MODIFY/NAME, do not delete the old file if errors
occurred during the creation of the new file.
o Change compare of reference library spec and CMS$LIB to an exact
match.
o Correction made for fetching an indexed file to a remote DECnet node.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
The system does not need to be rebooted after this kit is installed.
However, if the system is a member of a VMScluster, the other cluster
members should be rebooted or this kit should be installed on each
system in order to make use of the new image(s).
The saveset files, CMSAE01041.A and CMSAE01041.B, should be installed
using the VMSINSTAL command. This kit replaces the two executable
files SYS$COMMON:[SYSEXE]CMS.EXE and SYS$COMMON:[SYSEXE]CMSSHR.EXE.
