ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for Files-11 CD support on OpenVMS Alpha V1.5
through V6.1-1H2. This kit addresses the following problems:
o A third-party ISO 9660 CD-ROM may contain ISO 9660 meta-data
which does not conform to the ISO 9660 (1988) standard. The
meta-data may cause the data lengths to exceed the current
data buffer. This condition may cause OpenVMS Alpha to crash
with an access violation from KERNEL mode. For example, an
INVEXCPTION crash.
o When a partial or full directory is requested, files
appear to be missing. If the first matching file
is a file without an extension, files with extensions
are skipped.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
The system does not need to be rebooted after this kit is installed.
However, if you have other nodes in your VMScluster, you should install
this kit on each system in order to make use of the new image(s).
