OpenVMS ALPCPU0D01_061 Alpha V6.1-1H1 - V6.1-1H2 CPU ROUTINES ECO Summary

NOTE: An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file. The name of the compressed file will be kit_name-dcx_vaxexe for OpenVMS VAX or kit_name-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha. Once the file is copied to your system, it can be expanded by typing RUN compressed_file. The resultant file will be the OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file which can be used to install the ECO. Copyright (c) Digital Equipment Corporation 1995, 1998. All rights reserved. This kit addresses the following problems: Problems addressed in the ALPCPU0D01_061 ECO Kit: o The previous kit (ALPCPU02_062) applied to V6.1 as well as to V6.2. That kit is being re-issued as two kits, one for each version. This kit is the OpenVMS V6.1 portion of the kit. This kit has no new fixes. If you have installed the ALPCPU02_062 remedial kit on V6.1, you do not need to install this kit. There were no fixes in the ALPCPU02_062 kit specifically for OpenVMS Alpha V6.1-1H1 or V6.1-1H2. Problems addressed in the ALPCPU01_062 ECO Kit for OpenVMS Alpha V6.1-1H1 and V6.1-1H2: o On AlphaStation 200, AlphaStation 400 4/233, AlphaServer 1000 4/200 CPUs, and AlphaServer 1000, about one out of every ten SET TIME commands will set the year or month incorrectly. It appears that the most common incorrect years are 2014 and 1858. This problem is corrected in OpenVMS Alpha V7.0. INSTALLATION NOTES: The images in this kit will not take effect until the system is rebooted. If there are other nodes in the VMScluster, they must also be rebooted in order to make use of the new image(s). If it is not possible or convenient to reboot the entire cluster at
