TITLE: SNALU62 SNALU62_V401 SNA APPC/LU6.2 V4.0 for Tru64 UNIX ECO SUMMARY Copyright (c) Compaq Computer Corporation 2000. All rights reserved. Modification Date: 19-APR-2000 Modification Type: New Kit PRODUCT: DIGITAL SNA APPC/LU6.2 Programming Interface V4.0 for Compaq Tru64 UNIX (formerly DIGITAL UNIX) OP/SYS: Compaq Tru64 UNIX [R] SOURCE: Compaq Computer Corporation ECO INFORMATION: ECO Kit Name: SNALU62_V401 ECO Kits Superseded by This ECO Kit: None ECO Kit Approximate Size: 10000 Blocks Kit Applies To: SNA APPC/LU6.2 Programming Interface for Tru64 UNIX V4.0 Compaq Tru64 UNIX V4.0D through V5.0 System/Cluster Reboot Necessary: No Installation Rating: Information not Available Kit Dependencies: The following remedial kit(s) must be installed BEFORE installation of this kit: None In order to receive all the corrections listed in this kit, the following remedial kits should also be installed: None INSTALLATION NOTE: This is not an update kit and the current version of the LU6.2 Product must be deleted before installing this ECO. ECO KIT SUMMARY: An ECO kit exists for SNA APPC/LU6.2 Programming Interface V4.0 on Compaq Tru64 UNIX V4.0D - 5.0 (formerly DIGITAL UNIX). The DEC SNA LU6.2 Programming Interface Release Notes contain a complete explanation of this release. This kit addresses the following problems: o TP ABENDed Due to a BID Race Condition o Memory Leak in the LU6.2 Server o Incorrect Return from snalu62_wait_for_completion() o SNALU62_allocate() correlator_id parameter was not handled correctly o Allow Use of Access Name with Peer Server and Domain Gateway o TCP/IP ports remain in CLOSE_WAIT state INSTALLATION NOTES: The ECO kit is distributed as a tar file containing the kit which can be installed using the setld command. The tar file should be unpacked to a suitable directory and then the setld command issued specifying that directory as the source of the kit. For example, if the tar file containing the kit has been copied to /usr/tmp/snalu62401.tar: # mkdir /usr/tmp/snalu62401 # cd /usr/tmp/snalu62401 # tar xf /usr/tmp/snalu62401.tar # setld -l . If the kit is delivered on tap11 then the commands would be: # mkdir /usr/tmp/snalu62401 # cd /usr/tmp/snalu62401 # tar x # setld -l . Note that this is not an update kit, and the current version of the LU6.2 Product must be deleted before installing this ECO. Once the kit is installed, you should follow the instructions in the installation guide's After installation section.
