        1. Latest Firmware Update Revisions



           The latest firmware update boot file, AXPVME_V17_0.EXE on this

           Alpha Systems Firmware CD contains the SRM Console V17.0. This

           version of the SRM Console adds support for the environment

           variable EWxx_MODE.



        2. Firmware Anomalies, Restrictions, and Workarounds

           

           BEFORE updating the firmware, set environment variable MODE

           to FASTBOOT as follows:



           >>> SET MODE FASTBOOT



           After you set this variable, reinitialize the AXPvme SBC and

           boot the CD again.



        3. Firmware Enhancements and New Features



           Console V17.0 adds network mode support with the addition of

           environment variables EWxx_MODE. This support is required for

           DIGITAL UNIX 4.0D.





        4. AXPvme Firmware Release Notes



           The Firmware Release Notes for the AXPvme 64, 64LC, 160, 100,

           and 230 SBCs are on the Alpha Systems Firmware Update CD

           in the following directories:



           On an OpenVMS system:
