Logon (TCT)

DESCRIPTION
The "Logon" indicator tells whether or not a 3270 device is automatically logged
on by the Sun MTP system automatically. This functionality is used by 3270
entries preconfigured in the 3270 Devices portion of the Sun MTP Terminal Control
Table (TCT). "Logon" corresponds to the value set in the Auto Logon column.

VALUES
"Logon" takes on one of the following values (and meanings) for a 3270 entry:

'Y' - the device is automatically logged on
'N' - the device is not automatically logged on
' ' - this device has not been configured in the Sun MTP TCT. It was auto-
installed upon connecting to Sun MTP.

INTERPRETATION
A value for "Logon" only appears if a 3270 device has been preconfigured in the
Sun MTP TCT.

CONCLUSIONS
Note that the 3270 Devices portion of the Sun MTP TCT also accommodates EPI and
TR entries. In order to make an entry in that table, the user must enter a
value for Auto Logon. However, Sun MTP ignores this value for both EPI and TR
entries. Therefore, the "Logon" value for EPI and TR entries are meaningless,
and Sun MTPScan does not display it for either "Type" of entry.
