TXs/sec (Summary)

DESCRIPTION
The "TXs/sec" value shows the average number of transactions executed in a
second by a Sun MTP system. Sun MTPScan calculates the value of this datapoint by
itself; Sun MTPScan does not obtain this datapoint directly from Sun MTP. You can
see Sun MTP's calculation by using the kixdump -S command. This datapoint also
appears on the Sun MTP system's Overview Screen.

VALUES
The value is based on the Update Interval specified by the user via the
PreferencesDialog and the number of transactions ("TXs", in an entry in the
KxScrolledList) executed since the last update.

                #Transactions executed (since last update)
              ----------------------------------------------
                            Update Interval

INTERPRETATION
This value gives you an idea of a particular Sun MTP system's throughput. This
value can be more accurately computed by using a shorter Update Interval.
However, a shorter Update Interval requires substantially more processing
overhead.

CONCLUSIONS
This datapoint can be influenced by many factors external to the Sun MTP system
itself. For example, a development server's activities will cause a Sun MTP
system to run slower than if the Sun MTP system has a dedicated machine. This
datapoint is most accurate in the latter case.
