Max Bytes (Queues)

DESCRIPTION
The "Max Bytes" column represents the maximum number of "Bytes" that have been
recorded on a particular system queue since Sun MTPScan initiation (not Sun MTP).
A queue is an operating system resource enabling interprocess communication.

VALUES
The value of "Max Bytes" is a numeric quantity obtained by comparing the current
value to the number of "Bytes" and setting "Max Bytes" to be the maximum of the
two.

INTERPRETATION
This value indicates the queue usage (along with "Max Msgs") at peak load in
production processing. Note that the actual peak usage of a queue may occur
between Update Intervals and could escape Sun MTPScan's inquiries to the operating
system.

CONCLUSIONS
If "Max Bytes" approaches the value of "Capacity", consider increasing the size
of the queue. See the Help on "Bytes" for more details.
