Transid (PCT)

DESCRIPTION
The "Transid" displays the transaction identifier as specified in the Sun MTP
Program Control Table (PCT). Sun MTP uses the PCT to map a "Transid" to a
"Program" for execution.

VALUES
"Transid" is a four-character identifier.

INTERPRETATION
A user or program runs an application program by requesting its "Transid".
The user may enter the "Transid" at a terminal session. An application issues a
programmatic request with the "Transid" as a parameter. A transient data queue
can also request a "Transid" when a trigger condition is met.

CONCLUSIONS
If a requested "Transid" is not defined in both the PCT and PPT, the user will
be informed that the "Transid" is invalid. Sun MTP also places a message in
unikixmain.log. Sun MTPScan's PCT Screen displays all transaction codes valid for
a particular Sun MTP system.
