Secur (PCT)

DESCRIPTION
"Secur" shows the security level specified in the Sun MTP Program Control Table
(PCT) for a particular "Transid". An enduser must have this "Secur" level in
order to run the "Transid".

VALUES
"Secur" is a number from 1 to 64. Each number represents a different security
level.

INTERPRETATION
Sun MTP compares a transaction's "Secur" value against a user's Security Key to
determine if the user can execute the transaction or not. The administrator may
assign a security level to a specific user by defining an entry for the user in
the Sun MTP Sign-On Table (SNT).

If a user is not registered in this table, the user receives a default Security
key of 1. This means the user can only execute a "Transid" with a "Secur" value
of 1. If the user is in the SNT (the system userid matches the Userid defined in
the table), the user implicitly receives the defined Security key upon login or
can change security levels explicitly (to one specified in the SNT) with the
CSSN transaction.

CONCLUSIONS
Note that all Sun MTP system transactions receive a default "Secur" value of 1.
This enables all users to initially run these transactions.
