Appc (PCT)

DESCRIPTION
The "Appc" datapoint displays whether a transaction, described by "Transid",
is a back-end DTP transaction.

VALUES
"Appc" has one of the following values:

'Y' - the transaction is a back-end DTP program and performs Intersystem
         Communications (ISC) functions.
'N' or
blank - the transaction is not a back-end DTP program. It can, however,
         still perform outbound ISC functions.
'B' - the transaction uses the Brixton call-level interface. The remote
program is expected to send a dummy LU6.2 flow as the first send
         that will be discarded.

INTERPRETATION
The "Appc" datapoint value reflects the "APPC" field value of an entry in the
Sun MTP Program Control Table (PCT).

CONCLUSIONS
When specifying an inbound DTP transaction in the Sun MTP PCT, enter a 'Y' in
the "APPC" field. When specifying an inbound Transaction Routing transaction
enter an 'N' in the "APPC" field or leave it blank. If the transaction being
specified in the PCT is to be initiated locally, the "APPC" field may be left
blank or an 'N' could be entered.
