Max TXs/sec (Overview)

DESCRIPTION
"Max TXs/sec" shows the highest number of transactions per second (shown with
the "TXs/sec" datapoint) calculated for a Sun MTP system since connecting to the
system.

VALUES
At each update of a Sun MTP system's statistics, Sun MTPScan compares "Max TXs/sec"
to "TXs/sec". Sun MTPScan assigns "Max TXs/sec" the larger value of the two.

INTERPRETATION
If "TXs/sec" is consistently close to "Max TXs/sec", it is possible that Sun MTP
is running at very close to the maximum throughput of the system and
additional resources might be required.

CONCLUSIONS
The "Max TXs/sec" datapoint gives you an idea of what your peak processing
performance can be. Your system operates with the most throughput when the
"TXs/sec" datapoint remains consistently near "Max TXs/sec".

Because Sun MTPScan calculates this value only when connected to a Sun MTP system,
the value may not represent the actual highest transaction rate achieved by the
system. That point may have been reached when Sun MTPScan was not monitoring the
system.
