Transferring Files Using SunForum
File Transfer enables you to exchange files during a conference with everyone
else in the call.
Sending Files
 |
To send a file to everyone in the conference, press the Send File button
on the toolbar, or select Send File from the Tools menu. Select a file
from the file dialog, and click OK. |
The file is then transferred to all other conference participants with
T.127 file transfer capability. While the file is being sent, a window
shows the progress of the transfer.
Receiving Files
Files sent to you by other conference participants are received automatically.
While the file is being received, a window shows the progress of the transfer.
When the transfer is complete, the file is saved. See Changing
the Received Files Directory (below) for how to change the directory
to which received files are saved.
Canceling Sending Files
After starting to send files, you can cancel the transfer in one of two
ways.
 |
To cancel the transfers of all the files you are sending, select Cancel
All Sends from the Tools menu. |
 |
To cancel sending a single file, select the Cancel Send button from
the individual file progress window. |
Canceling Receiving Files
 |
To stop receiving all files, select Cancel All Receives from the Tools
menu. |
 |
To stop receiving a single file, select the Cancel Receive button from
the file's progress window. |
Changing the Received Files Directory
To change the directory to which received files are saved, select Options
from the Tools menu, and enter the path of the new directory into the field
labeled "Store received files in:". This directory must exist and have
write permissions. If subsequently it is deleted, or its permissions change,
received files are stored in /tmp.
