Front Panel

The Front Panel is the main window of the Cluster Monitor. It
graphically displays the configuration and status of the cluster.

(A
    full size picture
of the Front Panel is also available)

The Front Panel has three areas: the
    Menu Bar,
the
    Graphical Picture
and the
    Footer.

The menu bar has four menus that are used to perform tasks or display
other Cluster Monitor windows.

The graphical picture of the cluster
shows all the components and subcomponents in your cluster and the
current status of each component.

The cluster to be monitored can be specified in the
    Select Cluster dialog
or on the
    command line.
While the Cluster Monitor is connecting to the nodes, the
    Connection Status dialog
is displayed.

Moving the pointer over a component or subcomponent in the graphical
picture displays the name of that object in the footer. If you have
the
    Item Properties dialog
in "Follow" mode, it will also get updated with the full details. Or
you can get the properties of a single item by pressing the
Props key while the pointer is over it or selecting
Properties >> Item Properties... from the menu bar.

The
    Message Viewer
window supplements the information displayed on the Front Panel. When the graphical picture in the Front Panel highlights a faulty component or subcomponent, you can use the Message Viewer to see the specific messages generated by the faulty device.
