The Microsoft Product Integration Program (PIP) is the easiest way for 
Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Solutions Providers (SPs) to 
integrate and resell Microsoft Products with their value-added business 
solutions. Microsoft's PIP licensing program not only makes it easier for
ISVs and SPs to acquire and integrate Microsoft products into a solution
to resell, but also makes it easier to create one unified installation
media. With PIP, ISVs and SPs are offered four key benefits: 

 * PIP is available through existing distribution channels.
 * There is no reporting, forecasting or ongoing commitment required.
 * All normally distributed MS products are available.
 * No volume commitments.

PIP provides the opportunity to improve margins by allowing ISVs and SPs
to resell licensing products, as well as Full-Packaged Product (FPP).
License types available include the MS License Pak (MLP), MS Multi-unit
License Pak (MMLP), and the MS Open License Pak (MOLP). The MS Open 
License Pak (MOLP) is an entry-level volume licensing program targeted at
small- to medium-sized organizations. With MLP, MMLP, and MOLP, ISVs and
SPs are allowed to export Microsoft products with their solutions, and
end-users are eligible for upgrades to the MS products.
