SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR Tru64 UNIX V5.0 Patch 479.00
This patch provides the driver support for the PCI To
Ethernet/Graphics Combo Adapter (3X-DEPVD-AA) (also known as the
ITI6021E Fast Ethernet NIC 3D Video Combination Adapter, InterServer
Combo, or JIB). In order to obtain full support for the PCI To
Ethernet/Graphics Combo Adapter (3X-DEPVD-AA), you must also select
Patch 506.00, which is the X server portion of the patch.

If you are going to remove this patch, please see the Patch Summary
and Release Notes for further information; not doing so may result in
an unusable system.


SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR Tru64 UNIX V5.0 Patch 479.00
Update your /etc/fstab entries to enable the selected mount option
("throttle") on the selected UFS filesystems.

For example, change from:
   /dev/disk/dsk12e      /mnt/test ufs rw 0 2

TO:
   /dev/disk/dsk12e      /mnt/test ufs rw,throttle 0 2

Append to /etc/sysconfigtab any tuning changes.  For further information
on this patch, refer to the Patch Summary and Release Notes document.
The release note for this patch includes a section on TUNING. The TUNING
section describes the new io-throttle-shift, io-throttle-maxmzthruput,
and io-throttle-static tunables. These tunables are configured in the
"vfs" stanza.

The following 3 lines make up an example:

vfs:
    io-throttle-shift = 1
    io-throttle-maxmzthruput = 1

(Note - if you already have a vfs stanza in your sysconfigtab file, then
just add the 2 "io-throttle" entries.)

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR Tru64 UNIX V5.0 Patch: 539.00
This patch delivers version V1.0-032 of the libots3 library.
Version 2.0 of libots3 library is delivered with Compaq Fortran
Compiler, versions V5.3 ECO1 and V5.4, or the Developers Tool Kit (DTK)
(OTABASE subset). If libots3 v2.0 is already installed on your system,
and you install this patch, you will receive an informational message
from dupatch. See Release Notes for more information.


SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR Tru64 UNIX V5.0 Patch: 541.00
This patch delivers version V1.0-032 of the libots3 library.
Version 2.0 of libots3 library is delivered with Compaq Fortran
Compiler, versions V5.3 ECO1 and V5.4, or the Developers Tool Kit (DTK)
(OTABASE subset). If libots3 v2.0 is already installed on your system,
and you install this patch, you will receive an informational message
from dupatch. See Release Notes for more information.


SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRU64 UNIX Patch 327.00 
In order to obtain full support for the ISO8859-15 functionality,
you must select all of the following patch numbers:

  PATCH 327.00 
  PATCH 275.00

NOTE: These patches do not have dependencies on each other; this means
the dupatch utility will not warn you if you do not select all of these
patches.

In order to obtain full support for the ISO8859-15 functionality,
