This patch fixes a problem where, on systems with a PowerStorm 4D40T, 4D50T,
or 4D60T graphics card, the X server may crash when running a graphics-intensive
multithreaded application using a direct connection.  The problem is more 
likely to occur on faster systems such as multiprocessors.

The problem can be reproduced by running "ico -threads 10" over a direct
connection.
