This patch fixes a problem where the X windows lbxproxy utility which is
used to make Low Bandwidth X (LBX) connections to an X server did not
accept local connections (where lbxproxy is running on the same system as
the X client and the X client does not specify the system name in the
-display option, for example: xclient -display :1).
The X client failed with the following error:

    Xlib: connection to ":1.0" refused by server
    Xlib: Maximum number of clients reached
    Error: Can't open display: :1

And lbxproxy gave the following error:

    fd 3 NOT found among active servers
