In an ASE environment, the driver was not appropriately
restoring the link state after a LIP. This typically occurs on a

A switch nameserver bug was encountered that caused driver timeouts to
improperly fire. This resulted in a scenario in which the system could
hang at boot up, infinitely trying to probe the FC link. The last
messages on the console would typically look like the following:
