3  PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN ALPCLIU01_062 FOR OPENVMS ALPHA V6.1, V6.1-1H1,
   V6.1-1H2, V6.2 KIT


      o  The  index  file  of  a  disk  can  become  corrupted.   Closer
         examination  of the index file will show that a large number of
         blocks in the index file, at contiguous VBNs from the start  of
         the  file,  will  have 2 words corrupted in the file at offsets
         0x3a and 0x1FE.  These correspond to the locations of checksum1
         and checksum2 in a volume homeblock.

         In order to receive this full fix, in addition to this kit  you
         must also install the VAXVERI01_062 kit.

4  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

     In order to receive this full fix, in addition to this kit you must
     also install the ALPVERI01_062 kit.

     Install this kit with the VMSINSTAL utility  by  logging  into  the
     SYSTEM account, and typing the following at the DCL prompt:

         @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL ALPCLIU01_062 [location of the saveset]

     The saveset location may be a tape drive, or a disk directory  that
     contains the kit saveset.

     System should be rebooted after successful installation of the kit.
     If  you  have  other  nodes in your VMScluster, they should also be
     rebooted in order to make use of the new image(s).
