Closer examination of the index file will show that a large number of blocks in the index file, at contiguous VBNs from the start of the file, will have 2 words corrupted in the file at offsets 0x3a and 0x1FE. These correspond to the locations of checksum1 and checksum2 in a volume homeblock. System should be rebooted after successful installation of the kit. If you have other nodes in your VMScluster, they should also be rebooted in order to make use of the new image(s).
