Valve STEAM GCF files and Media                                  28 October 2006

  The /pub/Steam-GCF directory contains about 15.9GB of Steam Games, Media and
  tools. To use the media files alone you need Microsoft Windows Media Player or
  another media player capable of wma playback. To use the media files in Steam
  you need to copy both the media directory and the following files to your 
  SteamApps directory:

    day of defeat jagd.gcf
    half-life 2 episode two gameplay movie 1.gcf
    half-life 2 episode two gameplay movie 2.gcf
    half-life 2 episode two gameplay movie 3.gcf
    half-life 2 episode two gameplay movie 4.gcf
    half-life 2 episode two gameplay movie 5.gcf
    half-life 2 episode two teaser.gcf
    half-life 2 episode two trailer 2.gcf
    half-life 2 trailer.gcf
    portal trailer.gcf
    prelude to victory.gcf
    team fortress 2 trailer 2.gcf
    team fortress 2 trailer.gcf
    sourceforts trailer.gcf
    
  Your SteamApps directory is located within the Steam Directory - this will
  be located where ever you installed it. The Default SteamApps directory is
  C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps. This may be different on your system
  depending on the version of the SteamInstaller you used.
  
  The Steam-GCF directory contains the required Steam GCF files for the
  following games and tools:
    - Codename Gordon
    - Counter-strike
    - Counter-strike: Condition Zero
    - Counter-strike: Condition Zero - Deleted Scenes
    - Counter-strike: Source
    - Counter-strike: Source beta
    - Half-Life 2
    - Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
    - Half-Life 2: Episode One
    - Half-Life 2: Lost Coast
    - Half-Life Deathmatch: Source
    - Half-Life: Source
    - Half-Life
    - Day of Defeat: Source
    - Source SDK
    - Source SDK Base (Minimum requirement for some mods)
    - Dedicated Server
    - Source Dedicated Server

  All of these games were fully up-to-date as of 28 October 2006.
  
  A number of Half-Life 2 mods are also available on this ftp server, these may
  be found in /pub/Game-Files/Games. These mods include:
    - Garrys Mod 9.0
    - Minerva: Metastasis 2       [Single player]
    - Sourceforts 1.9.2
  You will need to download and run the appropriate installers in order to play
  these mods. Once you have installed one you will have to restart Steam before
  it will appear in your games list.
    
  Note: You can only play the games that you have on your steam account. If you
  dont have a specific game on your steam account the steam client will list it
  in your games menu saying that you have all the files for it and allow you to
  purchace it. Once you purchace it you will be able to play it straight away.
  If you do not wish to purchace a game you can delete the files for it by
  right-clicking on it and selecting the appropriate menu item.
