CRYPTOGRAMS\

Here on the O'Banter Estate, it has long been a family tradition to
inscribe words of wisdom on your sarcophagus as your final rest approaches.
However, a playful poltergeist has scrambled all the inscriptions,
befuddling all visitors to the O'Banter Crypt.\
\
GOAL\
	Decipher the encrypted quote by substituting one letter for another.\
\
METHODOLOGY\
	Select a letter from the quote. All instances of that letter will
become underlined. Next, type a letter, or click on a letter from the letter
list. The new letter will be substituted for the existing one. Continue this
process until every letter in the quote is correct.\
	Once you have substituted a letter, it will be highlighted in white
on the letter list. This does NOT mean that the highlighted letter was
CORRECTLY substituted. If you want to change a substitution, just pick the
previously-used letter again.\
	Depending on the level of difficulty, cryptograms will sometimes
begin with some number of the letters already correctly substituted. These
correct letters start out highlighted in orange in the letter list.\
	Once you have completely deciphered the quote, the author and source
of the quote will appear.\
\
SCORE\
	Your score will be 2 points for each letter correctly substituted.
In addition, there is a bonus that brings your score for completely
deciphering a quote to 100 points.\
\
OPTIONS\
	When playing Cryptograms independent of the board game, you can
select the following options:\
	Letters Solved: how many letters will already be correct at the
start of the cryptogram.\
	Time: The amount of time you have to solve the cryptogram
before time runs out. The hourglass indicates your remaining time.\
\
TIPS\
	One letter words are either "A" or "I".\
	Look for three letter words that appear more than once; these are
likely to be "THE" or "AND".\
	Keep an eye out for words that end with apostrophe-letter. The
letter after the apostrophe is usually an "S", or occasionally a "T".\
	Look for double letters.\
	Remember that the most frequently-used letters are "E" and "A".\
	As you begin to fill in correct letters, more and more words will
become decipherable.\
